Harlequins wanted all fans, wherever they were, to feel connected to the game, and achieved an unprecedented first, uniting fans both inside and outside the stadium for Big Game 13.

The Harlequins Rugby Team wanted to achieve an unprecedented first, unite fans both inside and outside the stadium for Big Game 13, celebrating their return to Twickenham Stadium. Normally these are treated as separate productions. Limitless provided all broadcast infrastructure, screen playout and cameras for Sports Presentation, and were integral to linking the bowl, broadcast compound, and Fan Village together for a dynamic and fresh live production which had not been done before.

Mission

Harlequins wanted all fans, wherever they were, to feel connected to the game. Whether outside or inside Twickenham Stadium, Harlequins wanted a unified show. Sports presentation invited Limitless onboard to make this possible

Challenge

So that the presenters in each location could seamlessly chat onscreen and throw to each other in real-time, we tied the onstage entertainment together with the screens in and outside the stadium for a seamless transition between hosts. The DJ and bands on respective stages were able to be seen by both areas as well as the legendary ‘Lights Out’ pre-show. It was a game changer in driving a quality fan experience.

Impact

Limitless innovated a super flexible and slick cross-campus broadcast solution for all to enjoy. Fans were delighted to experience live entertainment after so long and they carried on celebrating for well over an hour after the match ended. We loved being a part of it!
